Decontamination
Treatment of soil pollution decontamination waters
TA exhibits great experience in the treatment of water from sites where decontamination processes have been carried out on soils polluted by:
- petroleum hydrocarbons;
- metals;
- salts;
- aromatic solvents (BTEX + Styrene);
- MTBE.
For such pollutants the areas with greatest demand are usually motorway service areas and transport fuel stations/depots.
Depending on the characteristics of the sites where the systems are installed, various technologies are made available to the customer, including:
- systems for pumping and treatment with activated carbon filtration, or treatment by means of percolation and biological degradation;
- air-sparging plants;
- soil vapour extraction (SVE) plants;
- forced ventilation systems for the soil (BV).
Given the pecularities of different sites, both in terms of their geological/hydrogeological characteristics and of the distribution of contaminants, the above mentioned systems can be customized and implemented on the various types of plants to improve their efficiency and consequently reduce reclamation time.
